LSLM was incorporated in January of 2003. We are a small business, a corporation and collective of individuals with various interests and training that shares similar ecological values and social goals. Our primary interests involve the application and construction of sustainable systems built upon ecologically sound principles. Our work is informed by a multidisciplinary approach drawing from the ecological, anthropological, and psychological sciences. LSLM incorporates a holistic model that derives from the concepts of Whole Systems and the paradigms set forth within the Human Resource Management model.
We are engaged with the ideas of sustainability, localism and collaboration. Through our business activities LSLM consciously participates in the “new” “green ethos” that is emerging as the most viable structure for human activity in our post-modern world. Through our collaborations with small farms and local governments we endeavor to reinvigorate commerce structures that support sustainable action within communities, while increasing the economic and social viability of ecological practice within these communities.
Our bottom line is sustainability. Sustainability is realized through collaboration, community building and, more directly, through the science and practice of Environmentalism. That is, decision-making based upon the requisite and mandate of local ecosystems and resource environments, and upon our essential collective role within these environments
